About the RE/MAX Chairman's Award

In late 2002, RE/MAX International created a new sales award level, called The Chairman's Club Award. The Chairman's Club Award replaced the Platinum Club as the highest sales award level that RE/MAX International offers. The Chairman's Award was presented, for the first time, in February 2003, at the RE/MAX Western Convention and also at the RE/MAX International Convention in March, 2003. I was very honoured to be one of the 76 realtors in RE/MAX Western Region (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) to have received the prestigious Chairman's Club Award for 2002, in its first year of presentation. Only 18 realtors in B.C. achieved this award level; all of the other recipients were from city marketplaces.

LuxuryRealEstate.com Board of Regents

In the Fall of 2007, I accepted an invitation to join LuxuryRealEstate.com's Board of Regents. This is an exclusive group of currently 82 agents neutrally selected from North America & Europe. There can only be one Regent in a market area. This honour allows me to be counted among the world's leading real estate professionals.

RE/MAX Panels

In February 2001, I was invited to speak on a panel at the RE/MAX International Convention in San Diego. The topic was selling real estate in recreational / resort areas. I was the only Canadian RE/MAX agent invited to speak on a panel, at this International Convention.

In February 2004, I was invited to speak at the RE/MAX Western Canada Convention, on a panel of three realtors, the others from Calgary and from Fort St. John, as a Top Producer spokesperson.

Recently, I was invited to be on the Advisory Board for RE/MAX International, for the RE/MAX Collection division; as the only RE/MAX realtor from the International side (which includes all of Canada, the U.K., Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia), invited to be on this Board: I look forward to helping to create a buoyant and vibrant luxury real estate venue for RE/MAX International. At the RE/MAX Western Canada convention, in February, 2005, I was invited to be a part of a panel re marketing luxury real estate offerings, and was pleased to meet the other panelist, a realtor from the Whistler marketplace.

Awards, and being invited to serve on panels are a recognition of fine customer service, and express the placing of the client's needs first. It is always exciting to be recognized, within one's industry, by one's peers, and it's a compliment to have one's efforts lifted out of "the local". New ideas and new referral contacts are further important aspects of attendance at conventions.

    Why use a Real Estate Agent ?

    One good reason to use a Real Estate Agent to sell your property is that using a Real Estate Agent takes the emotion, egos, and personalities out of the negotiation.

    Particularly if a property has served as your principal residence, it is difficult to take an objective view of its market value, or to negotiate with a buyer, when words such as "home", "memories", "roots", etc, keeping coming into mind. Not to mention all the care given and improvements made as you have lived there (or the rather large sums of money involved).

    Using a Real Estate Agent as your negotiator allows the assets of your property to be highlighted, and the case for the asking price made without the emotions. Let Li be your negotiator.
